software RAID with A1000

I have a A1000 and Solaris 8 E450R. I have plugged the A1000 into SCSI port on the back, and

all ports on the A1000 are terminated correctly.

I have installed the flash prom update and the rm6221 software. The software runs, but it complains

that no RAID modules are found. I'm not seeing any documentation that tells me how to create a RAID

module so that Raid Manager can configure it. We don't have a RAID card. This is just a development system. We intend to run software RAID.

Any hints will be appreeciated. Thanks. - Jesse

make sure the terminators are the correct ones. I've had issues before with non-diff-scsi terminators installed into a diff-scsi host.

This might be a bit late but the SCSI port on the E450 (the onboard one) is single-ended. The A1000 requires an HVD SCSI port. The X6541 dual HVD SCSI adapter is the preferred card to use in the E450.
