what's wrong with my disk name?

Hi, guys,

I have installed the SE6120, but I got some wierd name from the "format" on the host.

I want to create a new file system on the host, by newfs, but, I got some error message.

What does the VTOC look like for that disk?Does /var/adm/messages contain any information that may be pertienent?

You can't get the short name anymore. Traffic Manager, aka mpxio, uses the long names.

That is the way MPXIO will show you the device names.May be basic question?(annoying)Did you partion it further by Fomat.May be there is a hardware issue.
