Installation of StoreEdge 3510

Hey guys, not looking for a huge post on what I need to do to install my newly acquired 3510, but some direction on where I can get docs on steps to install this thing using FC on a SunFire V880. Thanks for the help in advance.ci

I'm not sure that the 3510 can be directly connected to the onboard FC connection. I think Sun only supports connecting their FC JBOD to that. You would need to get an X6767 or X6768 HBA to connect to the storage. Make sure to hit http://www.sun.com/storage/san and follow the link for Storedge SAN 4.X and download the install_it script which will take care of completely upgrading your Sun FC drivers.

Hi ! V880 don't have onboard FC-AL controller fith external interface.One FC connector - it's Gigabit Ethernet.You need install additional FC-AL controller in V880 for connect 3510 ( indepance RAID or JBOD) Nikolay_GNV at 2007-7-5 18:04:46 >
