meta device open error

I have configured mirror on root hard disk on intel machine solaris 2.9.

Configured RAID5 (d50) on single disk on 03 partition(s0, s1 and s3).

My RAID 5 hard disk is faulty. I want to clear the d50 configuration from system. I gave a command

" metaclear -f d50 "

It gave me error saying "meta device open error".

How to clear the configuration?
