SE6920 extend volume

We have a SE 6920 and would like to test the extend volume functionality. I have extended a volume (from 40GB to 45GB). As far as the 6920 software is concerned the volume has been extended and is now 45GB. However on the host, the disk still shows as 40GB. Even format still sees it as a 40GB drive. What do I need for the host to see that the disk is now larger?

The easy way is to do a reconfig reboot. The hard way is go into unmount the lun, run format, select the lun, re-label it, and then remount it.

I'm pretty sure I did a 'boot -r'. Will try again. If it doesn't work, will try your format trick. Thanks!
