StorEdge LTO Gen2 question.

Hi...a couple of months ago we purchased the following tape device:

StorEdge LTO Gen2 SCSI Desktop Tape Drive

I am trying to get it to work with my Sunfire 480; however, I am having a tough time figuring out how to 'see it'...If I run 'test-all' at the ok prompt I can see it with a 'probe-scsi-all' command...but when the machine boots all the way up..nothing. Should it come up in /dev/rmt ? If not where should I be looking for it?

Someone told me I need to update my /kernal/drv/st.conf file but I have'nt a clue as to the format.

FYI, the Sunfire is running Solaris 8.

Anyone got any ideas?

Yes, it should be seen in /dev/rmt if you reconfig'ed it in with devfsadm -c tapes or boot -r . It looks like it shipped with a product manual on CD according to: http://sunsolve.sun.com/handbook_pub/Devices/Rmvbl_Media_Options/RMVBL_OPT_Stor Edge_LTO_Gen2.html
