3310 RAID controller not detected using ssconsole

Hello all,

I ran into another problem. After clearing out the RAID controller configuration on the Storedge 3310, I did a reboot. Now I cannot detect the RAID controller (or the RAID Array) using ssconsole (Storedge 3000 Family Configuration Service Program).

However, I can detect the 3310 using probe-scsi-all.

I can also detect RAID controller using the com port (ttyb).

But I can't get ssconsole to detect the RAID Array. Can someone tell me what I doing wrong

Thank you.

Never mind. I fixed the problem. I had the SCSI channels all mixed up. FYI. You cannot connect two RAID disk arrays together period. This will mess up the RAID controller configurations. This is what Tech support told me.

To clarify, you cannot physically (you can connect them physically together, but they will not function at all) connect two SE3310 Raid Disk Arrays (daisy chained). Each SE3310 Raid Disk Arrays has to be connected directly to host.

You can however have more than one RAID level (0,1,5) on a SE3310 Raid Disk Array.
