StorEdge T3 volume initialization problem

Hi everyone. I've been experiencing some problems with a T3 unit. I can create the volume with:

vol add v1 data u1d1-8 raid 5 standby u1d9

but when trying to initialize the volume with

vol init v1 data

I got

WARNING - Volume data will be initialized to zero.

WARNING - Volume initialization can take a significant amount of time.

Continue ? [N]: y

Volume initialization in progress...

ERROR (200015) VN_RAIDERR: RAID error

What can I do?

What does the syslog on the T3 say?What about "fru stat" or "fru list"?
