3510 storage array

I have a 3510 storage array 12 disks / and support for 4 hosts, LUNS are created and assigned as 4 300Gb raid 5 devices. The plan is to direct connect 2 sun servers a HP and a AIX server.

Both sun servers work fine - in fact if I move the cables around they can see all 4 LUNS,

My AIX server is not ready as I am waiting on a FC card,

The HP server is configured with 2 tachyon 2gb FC cards, All patches are up to date,

an ioscan shows both cards are connected to the 3510, and all device drivers are loaded.

a fcmsutil command reports both cards have a topology of PRIVATE_LOOP and a Driver state of ONLINE

the problem is that HPUX cannot see any LUNS and therefore it fails to create the device files.

Any suggestions?

I found some agent and console software on the SUN sight for managing the 3510 - which is not really necessary from the HP unless it will help with the connectivity. The problem with the download is it fails the HP swinstall...

I am having a very similar problem with my HP machine. Did you find out a solution to this problem?

Change partition table? y

sccli: lun map exists

sccli>

And does'nt make the new partitions!!, what is the reason for this? I can磘 unmap the other partitions(00-06) because they are at production level, this cannot be done?
