The T3s are fibre all the way to disk and a single array can easily 90+MB / sec down a fibre interface.

The T3 is self monitoring and can provide logging / state to SNMP packages independent of hosts to which they are attached.

When configured in a partner pair configuration, they are no single points of failure.

Unlike the A1000, there is no min-spec or max spec array - it comes with 9 disks - no more no less so incremental costs can be higher.

Storage density is much greater in the T3 than the A1000.

T3s can be used in a full-fabric environment or in FC-AL direct connect situations.

RAID-5 in a T3 is highly optimised and can be the most performant configuration with the minimum RAID overhead.
