volslice or partition? (T3+)
I have 2 E4000 systems each with a T3+ attached.
On one system (DEV1) I created one volslice and later split up the slice using format. Creating the filesystem (newfs) took quite a long time. About 2 hours for a 200Gb partition.
On the other system (DEV2), I created 3 volslices. Creating the filesystem (newfs) on each slice took just a few minutes for even a 400Gb partition.
Is this behaviour what you would expect?
Could there be something wrong with the DEV2 system or it's array?
I have not noticed any performance problems with DEV1, but then I'm not really pushing it that hard yet either.
