Please contact your local Sun reseller, else contact Sun Sales Department directly, for a discussion on compatible storage device options.
Such devices will connect to the V880 by SCSI adapter cards, Fibre-Channel adapter cards, or by various methods of network connection schemes.
I agree with rukbat here, there are no Sun manufactured storage devices for USB, not even for the smallest workstation.
There is a list of third party storage products that are verified, and can be used with Sun SPARC based systems running Solaris.

Even though the V880 is now EOL and there are quite a few cheap, ex lease machines becoming available on the used market, I cannot see the point in using USB as a storage option! Not even for infrequently accessed data. USB has very poor performance, for the V880 I think you're talking about 12MB/s, which would have slower transfer rate than a CDROM on a SPARCstation 5. My advice to anyone considering cheap storage for a system like a V880, buy a FC or NAS storage system that supports SATA drives.
