dual ultra320 scsi controller

Hi allI m trying to install new dual ultra320 scsi controller on Sun Fire c20z Server. But there is an error message ERROR: EXPANSION ROM NOT INITALIZEDPCI MASS STORAGE CONTROLLER IN SLOT 02 BUS 03 DEVICE 01 FUNCTION 0.0Pls help me to fix this Problem

many questions.. the card is supported by Sun? did you do a "boot -r" ?enough questions...now, answers.haroldkarl

you might have to update the OBP of the server.And maybe add the package for that SCSI controller, if not done already.If a probe-scsi-all works, but the o/s doesn't see it, update the OBP.rk

Sorry rakman2, but your suggestions will not work with that system.

A Sun V20z is Intel Xeon based.

No OBP, and therefore no OBP commands or utilities (such as <i>probe</i>).

Let's just wait for <i>hero</i> to provide more information.

The original poster has not returned.

... and an error about a ROM on a peripheral usually means unqualified 3rd party hardware.
