Failed disk on A5200

We had a disk go bad this weekend. Veritas recovered using the spare in the DG. However it looks like this is a hard error and the disk shows failed on the FP of the Array. My concern is that when i do a luxadm remove_device Name,f2 it will either hang or fail to remove the disk. While looking at DocID: 17003, i noticed it references another InfoDoc (70929) which may address this concern. but I can't seem to locate it. anyone have a link?

Btw, this array is attached to two E4500 (VXVM 4.0) w/ DMP. This is not a clustered environment.

Any other tips or advice are welcome.

This document by the way only applied to Veritas Volume Manager 3.x. However if you have a valid Sun Support Contract the document ID number appears to have changed to 17003.
