Raid Manager Unable to Scan Module
I was expanding a Sun Storedge A1000 raid from 9 drives to 11 drives. After that, I wanted to create one more lun, but end up rm not able to scan the module.
I think this should be caused by minimum raid 5 requires 3 drives, while there are only 2 drives new added. I can see the raid controller.
So how can I recreate a new drive group and start all from scratch, or how can I delete the new LUN I intended to create?
Your help is greatly appreciated,
Wei

common problem is that the you may have added a lun number that isn't in the /kernel/drv/sd.conf.The software relies on the ability to contact all luns on the controller, so if you haven't configured your driver to build a path to the new lun, you'll run into this problem.
try running /usr/lib/osa/bin/lad
the lun numbers will tell you which ones need to be defined for the
target id's in the sd.conf. The target id's are in the cNtNdN from lad after the "t"
