How to format disk to use all the space?

Hi,

A drive I'm trying to reconfigure has the current configuration:

PartTagFlagCylinders SizeBlocks

0rootwm0 - 221310.74GB(2214/0/0)22529664

1swapwu2214 - 26161.96GB(403/0/0)4100928

2backupwm0 - 1408668.35GB(14087/0/0) 143349312

3 unassignedwm00 (0/0/0) 0

4 unassignedwm00 (0/0/0) 0

5varwm2617 - 38245.86GB(1208/0/0)12292608

6 unassignedwm00 (0/0/0) 0

7 unassignedwm00 (0/0/0) 0

Notice that only about 18.5GB out of the 68.35GB is in use. I wish to create a slice that takes up the rest of the drive without in any way affecting what is already in partitions 0, 1, 2 and 5. How do I do so?

Thanks

Hello Bancroft, have you reviewed the manpage of format ?Basically you want to assign cylinder 3825-14086 to a new slice.Michael
