Print Envelopes

Why is it that no matter which insertion option I choose for envelopes, the envelope prints on the left side of the printer instead of the right which is where my envelope insertion is on my printer. In order to print where writer is printing the enfelopes I have to empty my paper tray before printing an envelope.

I have no issues when printing out or Word so I must assume that this is a SO8 issue.

Envelope / Format: Size is correct?

Envelope / Printer: Orientation is correct? Print from Top/Bottom appropriately selected?

Envelope printing took a little time for me initially (orientation specific to my particular printer not very intuitive), but once set up, it has worked fine.

And "Print from top" means the envelope is printed on the side facing you when it's inserted into the printer. Put a mark on an ordinary sheet of paper to determine this.
