Setting of 'Anvncarcrrssritt' is Standard (Language is taken from OS setting), which is normal. But there should although be selectable your language. Change the setting to it.

Do you use Staroffice or Starsuite? Perhaps you have the wrong Patch.

Tuesday, February 14, 2006After backing up, try deleting your user profile and let SO recreate it. With an problem unrelated to this one that is what I had to do.When you defined your language, you did shut off the quick starter and then restarted?Phil

That would confirm the diagnosis of installation of wrong language update.

SO is a German based program in origin, so may default to that when their is language confusion (this was the problem with the WinWord filter until SO8). But, what would cause the confusion I cannot guess.

@PGAGAIMO it's English based. You cannot deselect the English GUI but the German.@ben1026Which patch-id has the downloaded update? If possible attach a screenshot of the window 'help-info' without installed patch.

I also had my localization settings changed when I installed the patch to StarOffice8. It went from English to Norwegian. When I uninstalled the patch the problem was gone.

There is a BUG in the patch that screws up the language settings. There is no way to change the language settings once you've installed the patch. You have to uninstall the patch to get the language settings restored to English.

This is clearly a problem that needs to be worked.

Did you terminate the quickstarter before installing the update?
