can't convert wordstar files in staroffice 8

I have many old documents using WORDSTAR 4.0 and 6.0 ( a word processor ) to create. In the beta version of staroffice 8 , I can convert these files to staroffice 8 (.sxw)easily, but in the final version of staroffice 8 I can't open the files correctly and I can't make the conversion because the conversion filter form the file type was removed. I need help. Anyone can give me suggestion?

Another problem.

When i insert a space in the beginning of a line in Starofffice 8, The line spacing is increased. I am using Windows 98. Is it a bug of staroffice 8 or the newest version of straoffice does not work in Windows 98?

Saturday, October 22, 2005 WS files open fine on my WinME system with SO8. The Mastersoft filters are not installed by default. You have to use the custom install feature when installing--select the Text filters, WS is among them. Phil

load the wordstar file while in windows9x block (highlight)the document then copy to windows clipboard.

close Wordstar and open any other word processor and paste the document into it. It will lose the word star dot commands and graphics. Word star is still the best word processor for adaptibility ...
