64 Bit Install failure

When trying to install on my main machine, (an AMD64 with 1gig memory, and SuSe/Novell 10.0 in 64 bit mode), I get an error (A0022 - I think). The download works fine and the unpacking goes well. It is when I try to run the Setup program that I get the error, immediately.

I checked permissions, and set to "777"

I am running Java 1.5 on the system, would that be the problem? If so, is there a fix?

Know the download was okay because it installed on my 32bit machine.

I have the same problem. Suse 10 64 bit and I get the error message below:

All files have been successfully unpacked.

Running installer

Attach to native process failed

0022

linux:/home/wayne/downloads # java -version

java version "1.5.0_06"

Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_06-b05)

Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.5.0_06-b05, mixed mode)

I am running Java v5 so I don't know what to try next.

Have anyone successfully installed Staroffice 8 on Suse 10 64 bit?

So I guess the lack of response can mean that Staroffice 8 is not capable of running on 64bit Linux. Good to know. I'll spend money elsewhere in the future!
