AutoSum equivelent?

Does Calc have a similar feature to the AutoSum feature on Excel? That feature allows you to sum, in all directions, highlighted columns.

A similar symbol shows in the formula bar of Calc, (it is similar to an M laying on its side) but it seems to have a completely different function.

That button you've found is the right one, but it works a little differently to Excel. Don't select the cells you want to autosum. Instead, just put your cursor in a blank cell underneath the information you want auto-summed, then press autosum.
