installation problem on x86

I抦 installing solaris 9.0 on the compaq presario series

and I抦 getting some errors while doing the install such as

ERROR : Could not create fdisk partition table

ERROR : Could not label disks

ERROR : could not update disks with new configuration

Along with some warnings like

WARNING: /pci@0,0/pci-ide@7,1/ide@0/cmdk@0,0 (Disk 0):

Error for command 'read sector' Error Level: Informational

Sense Key: aborted command

Vendor 'GEN-ATA 'error code: 0X3"

how to rectify this. please help in this
