cloning with different hardware

Can anyone be of any assistant

What i am trying to do is clone a sunfire v210 to a sunblade 1000. The reason why is to have a backup in case the v210 goes down.

The v210 has been hardened.

On the SunBlade 1000 i have partiioned the same as the sunfire v210

Created new file systems

ufsrestored all slices

then installed boot block

installboot /usr/platform/`uname 齣`/lib/fs/ufs/bootblk /dev/rdsk/cXtXdXsX

then modified vfstab

then i mount /root /usr partitions and run devfsadm to create device drives command

devfsadm 齬 /mnt 齪 /mnt/etc/path_to_inst

THe error i am getting is "Cannot mount root at"........

panic.

Any help would be appreciated

... and since neither system is a PC, isn't this off-topic for this particular forum? After all, the name of the forum is Solaris on x86.
