Installing Solaris 10 on HP ML 370 Server
Hi.
I have been trying to install Solaris 10 1/06 on a HP ML370 Server, which is supposed to be a Supported Platform according to HCL.
I have been problems about the detection of hardisks. This machine has a Compaq Smart Array 532.
I tried the setup of deactivate the ACPI on Bios, but this generates a Kernel Panic within the instalation proccess.
I tried also to use the driver diskette provided by compaq, by it also does not work.
Finally, I tried also to use the passing of options to Grub (acpi-enum and acpi-user-options) to deactivate the ACPI, with unsuccessful results.
I would thank any help about these issues, or any hint about these.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Sergio Gutierrez.

Finally, I gained to Install the operating System on this platform. What I did was:
1. Upgraded the firmware to the lastest version provided by HP
2. Into the Driver update diskette provided by HP, I renamed the directory sol_29 located into DU/Product/i86pc to sol_210, so that the operation of adding drivers did not fails.
Thanks to rukbat for his answer to this post.
