Mount command for ide0,0

Morning all: Need some pointers about repairing an IDE disk. Sun Ultra 5 Solaris 10. booting, shows errors on ide0,0. I was able to boot from a CDROM, it sees the ide device. I齧 wanting to mount that disk and see if I can delete some files and run fsck. I can齮 figure out the mount command. Thought it was...

mount /<a href="mailto:pci1&#64;f" target="_blank">pci1@f</a>,0/<a href="mailto:pci&#64;1" target="_blank">pci@1</a>,1/<a href="mailto:ide&#64;3" target="_blank">ide@3</a>/dad0,0 /mnt

Any help or pointers would be appreciated!!!!

Hello Jim,

try mount -F ufs /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 /mnt

(when booting from cdrom the mount point is /a, isn't it ?)

If the mount fails due to inconsistencies, it (the operating system) suggest to run fsck.

Btw. fsck is run on <b>unmounted</b> filessystems.

fsck /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0
