Failsafe session

Something happened to my Ultra60 box. Now, I can not log in to any user account. I would get the fiollowing error message:

"Unable to access home directory. Click OK to start a Failsafe session, or Cancel to restart login."

When I hit the "OK" button it takes me back to the login again.

I can login as root okay. I then check out the directory where the users account reside and the home directories. They are both empty. I tried to run the "mountall" command but still have the problem.

If anyone ever encounter this error message, please let me know how you resolve it. Thank you very much in advance.

I was getting the same issue. I am a 'newbie' when it comes to unix, anyway, I suggest checking there is enough space available on the mount point where the home drives are to be stored. I was able to move the home drives to a diffrent location to resolve the problem.
