Possible? jumpstart server for sparc and x86 clients

Hi

I'd like to set up a x86 jumpstart server which can install both, sparc and x86, clients. Is that possible? If yes does the client know which boot image to choose?

Should I have two different directories for the images?

Thank you for your help

SPARC clients will request boot into via rpc.bootparamd (RPC) and X86 client will request boot info via DHCP / PXE.

I'm working on installing the ISC DHCP program on my SPARC jumpstart server, the Sun one was too much trouble and not integrated with jumpstart anyway.

In teh olden days (we have not used X86 for a long time) you made a boot floppy that allowed your PC to boot off your Solaris bootparamd server.

Newer Sun systems use garden variety PXE boot BIOS, and the newest seem to use GRUB as boot loader.
