Problem with NIC probing after Flash Install

I have been flashing V440 servers with Solaris 9 in my environment. After the flash install, my systems do not stop probing each NIC port whenever the system reboots. Can this be stopped? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I found out what the problem was. A file in /etc needsto be removed. The file is .UNCONFIGURE. I do not know how the file gets there, but removing it corrects the NIC probing issue I was having. Ken
