/var/audit

Dear all,

I am using Sun Solaris 8 and the /var is nearly full recently. I found that there are files of large size in /var/audit and I am going to remove them to free some spaces for /var. Can I do that without affecting the OS operation?

Thanks,

Joe

Those audit files are there because BSM is enabled. It doesn't affect the OS to wack them. Shut down the audit daemon before you wack them though. # audit -n # rm /var/audit/*
