How do I connect mge pulsar extreme ups to sun fire v120 ?

Here is a guess...

I would build it using a D9f to RJ45f adapter and a cat5 RJ45 straight through cable.

6 2, 7 & 8

This should work as long as the UPS docs are reasonably accurate (UPS vendors are notorious for spreading misinformation about their serial interfaces.)

I built your proposed wiring but it does not work. Do I need to do any special configuration to serial Port ? I configured it as terminal in 9600 bps, bidirectional and hardware flow control. I am trying to use serial port b in sun v120.

Any suggestions would be welcome
