Netra T1 AC200 MEM_MALLOC: displayed

Hello

We have a Netra T, AC200 that displays the following and we cannot get to OK prompt. My colleague informs me that all memory has been replaced but still the error persists.

ERROR MESSAGE: MEM_MALLOC: NO MEMORY BIG ENOUGH AVAILIABLE

ABOVE MESSAGE DISPLAYED OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Any ideas on what the problem may be or how to PD further would be appreciated.?

Thanks in advance

hmmmmm.....

Loooong time since I've seen that one.

As I write this, I do not have access to certain lookup resources, but I have a suspicion that you're seeing a catastrophic failure of the cpu's cache RAM, particularly since the issue is so severe that you cannot get to OBP.

... and since the AC200's module is a part of the systemboard, that will mean a replacement of the entire FRU that includes the cpu and systemboard.

Open a service case with your local Sun support center.
