V1280 warnings

Has anyone determined what could cause the following warning messages to display? Everything is running fine or appears to be. Prtdiag shows no problems; netstat -i shows no errors, collisions, etc.

Here are the messages:

I've seen similar messages on the web on other Sun machines so hopefully someone has a resolution or at least an explanation. Here's the h/w info:

5.9 Generic_117171-05 sun4u sparc SUNW,Netra-T12

V1280 server

Qlogic fibre cards: 2 to StorageTek SAN

Thanks for any help.

Looking at the kernel patch revision this is fairly recent, so I assume that you have applied at least the latest patch cluster for Solaris 9. If you have not I would definitely get the latest jumbo patch installed. As you are aware this can be downloaded from:

<a href="http&#58;&#47;&#47;sunsolve.sun.com/pub-cgi/show.pl?target=pa tches/patch-access" target="_blank"> http://sunsolve.sun.com/pub-cgi/show.pl?target=patches/patch -access</a>

As well as this there are some other specific hardware and instillation considerations that Suns 'Install Check Tool' might be able to highlight for you. This can be downloaded from:

<a href="http&#58;&#47;&#47;www.sun.com/software/installcheck/download .html" target="_blank">http://www.sun.com/software/installcheck/download.html</a >

I would also say it might be worth looking for patches for the GLM drivers and Qlogic card. If you have problems fining these the best thing to do is to open a Sun Support Call and they will help.

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking I should probably check on patches for the Qlogic card. If I get a resolution, I'll post it here.

Have you applied this patch?

<a href="http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=urn:cds:docid:1-21-11 4731-08-1" target="_blank"> http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=urn:cds: docid:1-21-114731-08-1</a>

Should fix this bug:

For updates on current bugs you need to open a Sun Support case really. That way you can be added to the updates list should the fix not be available yet.

Either way, such information is for internal review only, so any person providing such information is highly limited as to what can be past on. Your best course of action is to open a Sun Support Case.
