Hung up Application Session

Hi,

I am running SGD 4.2 on Solaris 10. My problem is that when we exit from an application hosted on a Windows Server the sesion doesn't always end immediately i.e. SGD does not log out of the the Windows Server immediately as it should.

Naturally when we start a new session for the same application the previous unloggedout session restarts. We can forcefully end the session using the normal SGD Webtop but there is no such option in the Classic Webtop. Any ideas how to solve the problem.

Hi,

Thanks for replying so quickly. I looked up the page you suggested and tried both the suggestions given in it. However:

The Option for "Session Ends When" is greyed out for the object for my Windows Application.

I also tried the other option of listing all the processes that the Enhancement Module should ignore and close: that too doesn't work either.

Any further help on this would be much appreciated.

Try checking your RDP session settings. Do you end the session when a connection is broken or a disconnect? Default is a disconnect. SGD recomments end session. See docs.Arno

Do you see the same problem when accessing the application with the native RDP client?

No. Thats how I know its not supposed to happen. I tried Sun ray connector for WIndows and the logout time was normal even there.Zainab
