Strange problem with portal 6 and multiple instances

I'm hoping this is a simple problem to solve. It's driving me insane.

I have 2 V440's running AS8 and Portal 6. They talk to an Access Manager on a V240. The problem I'm having is that one of the portal servers will come back with the "com.sun.portal.desktop.DesktopException: DesktopServlet.doGetPost(): no privilege to execute desktop at " error. But the other will work fine.

Then after some period of time it swaps. The one that was giving the execute privilege starts working, and the one that was working gives the execute privs error.

Both will never work at the same time. Its driving me mad!
