spark PCM for PS7

Has somebody tried the spark PCM for the Portal Server 7? There are downloadable versions of it for PS6.0, 6.1 and 6.2. But what about 7.0? I have mailed the spark pcm team as well regarding this. Thanks,GiriprasadPS: Hope this is the right forum for this question.

I guess ps7 is in jes 2005Q4 and according to the specs of Spark 6.3 it runs on jes 2005Q4. So I think it should work. I wish you all the luck using Spark (you might need it).hth,Tim

The currently available release of Spark PCM (6.3) does not work with Portal 7. Portal 7 is not part of JES 4, it is an IFR (Interim Feature Release). Spark releases will always lag a little behind the Portal releases because Spark is a Sun Partner and does not simultaneously release updates.

Thanks for your replies.

I installed the SUN JES 2005 Q4 i.e.

Directory Server 5.2

Web Server 6.1

Access Manager 7

Portal Server 7

What do you suggest now? Can I only uninstall the Portal Server and Access Manager parts and install the version 6?

If so, is version 6 (6.2) a part of SUN JES 2005 Q1?

Thanks,

Giriprasad

PS: Jim, thanks also for putting the link for SUN JES 2005 Q4 - Portal Server 7 release. It was from this posting that I got the PS7.

I checked with the sales rep. and tech. support and they are quoting they already support v7 since 12/25/2005....I haven't installed it yet, but that's the official word from FatWire.

The Fatwire download does not yet work with Portal 7. The new organizations that Portal 7 creates for the sample portals causes the Fatwire installer to not work correctly. There are other issues as well. Fatwire is working on another release that should be ready soon.
