Remote Access from a Windows XP machine

Hello people,

whilst logging onto an ordinary Windows XP Pro machine how can I log into the Solaris box?. I would like to give everyone the priviliges of remoting in from their Windows machine. and be able to get into the Solaris Gui or just Solaris

Sorry for the silly question or if it is in the wrong place. Please excuse me for not using the corect technical term but I don't know what you call it when you want to remote into Solaris.

Any help would be appreciated

.. you can simply click on start > run then type cmd.exe to get a terminal, then use telnet to connect, like:

c:\ telnet hostname

...that would get you in the command line...

..there are some utilities that let you do this and give you some more options, like SecureCRT, which allows for file transfers, ssh, etc...

...if you want the GUI, there are a few terminal emulators out there that would allow you to open the Solaris GUI, like Exceed and Reflections (not so sure about the latter's name )

Thank You very much codename 47. It was very kind of you to reply. I am going to see what the GUI does.
