IP configuration problem

hi

we have 3 v100 machine which have solaris 9 opearating System .Each machine have 2 NIC one For LAN and Second For(WAN) boardband connection .

how to configured IP address and subnetmask and default gateway and how to save this configuration bcoz i am setting these thing but when system restarts the configuration is set to default. . so how to save my custom setting so that they are not set to default after restart.

at this moment i m customizing all my setting after restart.

please solved this porblem

Hi,

You can create a shell command file and insert

entries in there to plumb the second nic, setup the

ip configuration as you would via the command line. Then

also add your route commands for your various networks

inside of this file. When I did this I named the file as such:

S96addcfgroutes

Create this file in /etc/rc2.d and when the system is rebooted you will always have nic's setup during run level 2.
