.free taking up space

Hello, We have a system with a .free file size of 104299008. I've read elsewhere that this file should only be 20Mb. Because of this our filesystem is over 90%. What should I check to correct this? Thanks, D3

The .free file represents the amount of space that is currently free in your local Net Connect queuestore. By default the queuestore would be 20MB in size, which means the .free file would be 20MB if the queuestore was completely clear.

In your case the queuestore has been allocated 100MB which is really quite excessive. You can change this by editing the /etc/opt/SUNWsrspx/srsproxyconfig.cfg file and changing the value of the DISK_STORE_SIZE variable from 100 to 20, or other appropriate value. When deciding what size to set it to you need to consider what the size of your Explorer output would be. Make sure that there will be enough space in your queuestore to accomodate the explorer output.

After editing the srsproxyconfig.cfg file make sure you restart the srsproxy process to make the changes take effect:

$ pkill -9 srsproxy
