Not able to backup .free file by Netbackup4.5
hi,
My Netbackup server is not able to backup /var/SUNWsrspx/SRSQueueStore/store/.free file occasionally.
The error message what I get from Veritas Log is
00:21:35.310 [3836] <16> bpbkar process_file: ERR - File /var/SUNWsrspx/SRSQueueStore/store/.free shrunk by 512 bytes, padding with zeros
May I know what is the purporse of this file (.free)? Is it important to SRS Net Connect? The size of .free file is 20793344 bytes at this moment.

Hi,
If NC data cannot be sent immediately to the NC servers, the data is queued locally on a host. As the queue builds up, this file's size will decrease, and as space becomes free again this file will increase in size.
The size of the file represents the current size of the local queuestore space. By default this is 20MB.
Since this is a dynamic file which will keep changing, your backup software should be configured to ignore it.

How can I make my backup sw ignore it?
