I downloaded and installed the ajax components from studio creator update tool. However, i do not see a "Refreshing data" component.
This would be useful to display live data.
Can this be implemented using the studio creator components and if so how?

We agree, refreshing data is a very common application.
Right now these components are samples of what is possible
with Java Studio Creator and AJAX. As samples, our focus
has been more to show the extent of what is possible
rather than to provide a complete suite.
What we've done is take a subset of the BluePrints AJAX
components and add "design time" support to them,
which gives you the nice ease of use experience in the IDE.
"Refreshing Data" was one of the components not included.
We will be adding more samples shortly, but unfortunately
"refreshing data" is not one of them.
If you have an immediate application need for a real production
component, the best thing would be to send a request thru
product support.
