fill RAM addresses
In NSA's Manual-130, there is a proceedure that says in order to "declassify" RAM that has been in a secure area, you either destroy it, or write to in every memory loacation, with 1's and then 0's and then a random character.
I have looked but have not found how to do this for a Netra 240 server I have.
There is a OB PROM command "fill" but I haven't been able to find an indepth "man page" on the command.
Any one have any clues for me?

I'm more of a hardware "geek" than a software or OS person, but ...
If I might suggest:
Go back and read the NSA advisory one more time.
Are they really talking about menory modules?
I was always under the impression that once any electricity was removed from Random Access Memory, then there was absolutely no information stored therein.
The act of removing the sticks from their slots would wipe them.
Then you could re-install them back to the computer.
Disk drives? That may be another issue entirely.
But I suppose you could push the SPARC system through a DIAG POST and watch it go through all those random write tests.
Tell ya' what. Open a service case, have them forward that case to your local Field Service Manager, and let the local Sun management bring out their de-classification documents.
You'd not be the first to ever ask that question and they will be the people that have guidelines to follow.
