Eval Tta 4: No available licenses
Hi,
After adding the 1 user eval license, all kindds of clients report the
license is used up.
Array manager reports 0 Emulator & Webtop sessions.
/tarantella license list
reports the 1 user license correctly
Cold boot of Tta host (SuSE 9.2) does not help.
thanks, martti

Is this the developer's license you reference?
Did you have an eval license previously? Can you post what
$ tarantella license list
shows?

Yes, I had eval license install earlier,
s-g like 22 days was left from the trial period.
Then I got an email from dowloads@tarantella.com, which included 1 user
Enterprice license and this license code:
license list:
Installed license keys:

- UNIX Connectivity
- Mainframe Connectivity
- Windows Connectivity
- AS/400 Connectivity
- Security
- Advanced Load Management
- Directory Services Integration
- Portal Integration
- Activation - Tarantella Secure Global Desktop Enterprise Edition (7-day
lease)

Martti,
The 1 user license that we are providing is a Named User license. So
only one user will be able to login for the duration of the 7 day lease.
If you are trying to access the server as a different user than the
original user that logged, then you will get a message that all licenses
are used up.
See Concurrent & named user license section in
http://www.tarantella.com/documentation/sgd/ee/4.0/help/en-us/base/standard/lic ense_enforcement.html

After installing the named user license, nobody has been able to access
Tta 4 a single time.
So I have no idea, who that "named user" is in our company.
On the other hand, we have purchased 20 user licenses for Tta 3.2 a couple
of years ago. And one day it ceased working, possibly bacause I downloaded
updates for my SuSE 8.2. I have no idea whether I can utilize my licenses
for upgrade at all.

You can use
$ tarantella license status
$ tarantella license query --users
to find out info about your user and who the "named user" is.
For your 3.2 licenses, you can register your company and licenses on
https://custcentral.tarantella.com
Then follow the directions for creating an array and copy/paste the
output of
$ tarantella license list
Customer Central will then be able to tell you if you have the Right to
Upgrade or if you need to purchase upgrade licenses. You will not be
able to use the 3.2 license on 4.x server.
Thanks,
