Eval SGD 4

We have completed an evaluation of Citrix and now are doing an evaluation of

the TTA SGD 4 on RH Fedora Core 3 and are running into allot of problems. If

anyone is using this setup, any feedback would be appreciated. Citrix works

good but has printing problems. (no surprises there.) I am wondering how

client drive mapping and printing works overall, what if any problems you've

had, and would appreciate any feedback you could give me. Even if you are

not using Fedora Core 3, any product feedback would be appreciated. I thank

you in advance for your time.

Can you describe the problems you are experiencing?

For client drive mapping and printing, make sure that you follow the

Administration Guide. Also there are troubeshooting procedures for them

should you run into any issues.

I have not had much success getting SGDEE 4.0 going. TTA support & sales

has been great help but I have not been able to get even the built in apps

(xclock etc.) running. I've tried on Fedora Core 3 and Suse 8.1 but no

matter what I do, I can't get this "bird off of the ground". I'm about ready

to throw the towel in. We are one step away from Citrix purchase & put it on

hold to try TTA. However, what I was really interested in was those who have

it running... what's it like? Are there printing problems? Does client drive

mapping work good? Just information.on stability, ease of administration,

etc. Would those of you who have used it recommend it? Are you on version 3

or 4?

Once again, thanks for your time.

well i really recommend a FC1 or FC2 or RHEL 3 because i don't have any

problem with tta in FC3 the tta have conflict to start in the case i

need to desactive the service and active when i login in my shell with

/etc/rc5.d/TarantellaWebserver and Tarantella and i need install the

xorg-depreciated-libs*.rpm if not install this the array and

objectmanager doesn't work because the java of tta need a one file that

found when install the rpm after that tta works fine in fc3 in this

moment i try to mount tta in RHEL 4 i need to see what happen and in

someday i put a report about this test
