Windows Native Command Line Option -application not working?
Hello. I'm trying to set up a shortcut on windows desktops to use command
line options, as described in:
http://www.tarantella.com/support/documentation/enterprise/e3.4/help/en-us/base /indepth/nc_running_cmdline.html
..when I try to use the -application option, as in:
"C:\Program Files\Tarantella\Tarantella Native Client\TTWEBTOP.EXE" -url
http://pulserver.princeton.edu/tarantella -application notepad
..the client does not seem to start (don't get a login dialog), though
the process is running and must be killed.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

What's the version of your Tarantella server? What OS platform is it running
on?
What's the version of your Native Client?

Tarantella Version 3.2 running on Solaris 9.
The Native Client 3.40.911 is running on XP.
Thanks very much for your response.

You should try to use the 3.2 NC if you are using 3.2 server. Ideally
you want to upgrade the server if you want to run the 3.4 NC.

Okay. I'd like to try that. Till now, we've used the web access. So, I
only recently downloaded the client.
Where can I download the 3.2 clients? I only see the latest versions on
the web site.
We will also likely upgrade the server to 4.0, but not this week...
Thanks!

Registered users of Customer Central
https://custcentral.tarantella.com
have access to legacy versions not available on the public website.
Thanks,

Philippe,
I forgot to mention since you have a 3.2 server you can get the 3.2 NC
from it.

Thanks Carmelo. Just tried it and didn't work unfortunately. No error
messages or anything. Seems to start up (as a process in task manager)
but then goes away... Any other ideas.
By the way, did you notice my post/query about custominzing webtops by ip
address? That question is related to this one about shortcuts: if I can
customize a webtop by host/ip, then I don't need to make the direct
shortcuts work, and vice versa...
Best regards,
-Philippe
