installing 3.30.929 on RH8
I have recently installed Tarantella on a PC that is used as an internet
router. The PC is running RH 8 and has 2 nic interfaces. The named
services are not running and there is not a public DNS enter for the
public ip of the server. I have added the necessary entries into the
httpd.conf file. The server-dns-enternal entry is cpc-rhd which is defined
in the hosts file When I try to run Tarantella the JVM log file reads
I Tarantella 3.30.929: Commencing Bootstrap
Tarantella 3.30.929: No proxy server configured.
Tarantella 3.30.929: Commencing Bootstrap
Tarantella 3.30.929: Connecting to Tarantella server...
Tarantella 3.30.929: Trying to connect to CPC-RHd:3144 again (1 of 10)
Tarantella 3.30.929: Trying to connect to CPC-RHd:3144 again (2 of 10)
Tarantella 3.30.929: Trying to connect to CPC-RHd:3144 again (3 of 10)
This never allows the log in prompt to appear in the browser. Can someone
tell me what I am missing to make this work. I had configured this once
before and it worked, but I lost the configuration and the hard drive
together and must now get this working again.

From the client side, are you in the position to "ping" CPC-RHd ? Also,
what is you "telnet CPC-RHd 3144" from the client ?
Is there a firewall between the client and the TTA server which "blocks"
incoming TCP/IP connection to port 3144 ?
