Troubleshooting Instant Messaging

Authentication errors

The following are the possible causes for this problem:

- Problems while accessing the LDAP server.

- End user not found.

- Invalid credentials.

- Invalid Identity Server session.

Where to get the necessary information:

-Instant Messaging server, Identity authentication and LDAP log files.

For the above information look at the user provisioning and user search mechanisms in the Directory Server documentation

This is valid only in case where Identity Server was used to do a Single Sign On. The details about Identity Server are present in the Identity Server documentation.
