Calendar 6.0 external events

Has anyone ever setup Calendar 6.0 so that external events and todo's get automatically populated to the calendar ? For example:

qsmith has an Oracle Financials account. They have a budget due on November 15th. When they login to to the Sun Calendar, Nov 15th is automatically populated with the event or todo item.

Anybody ever done that ? How did you solve the requirement? What tools and methods did you use ?

Not sure if I understood well what you meant. Do you want to import automatically events to the calendar, through scripts ?

If yes, you can have a look at "WCAP commands". Through those commands, you can create calendars, put events into them, delete events of calendars, etc.

WCAP commands are web requests, for example :

http://calendarHost:8090/login.wcap?user=joe&password=asdf&fmt-out=text /xml
