Evolution or Mozilla Calendar Sync
I keep hearing about the Sun ONE connector for evolution and that there was a release date scheduled for 2003 but I have never seen the end product (or any beta versions).
Does anyone know what happend to this project? Is it possible to download a connector that works with a linux client? The Mozilla calendar seems to have scheduled support but not until version 2 is released.
Thanks in advance.

You have to use the Sun Java System operating system. It's similar to Linux. I've tried just getting the RPMs to work on a normal Redhat Linux system but I was unable to do so. I think it's possible to tweak around and get it to work, if it's worth the effort to you. The only supported way to get Evolution with Sun Calendar support is to use their Sun Java System OS.

Hi All,
For those who missed the announcement, SUN have GPL'ed the connector plugin for the SUN Calendar server and Evolution. After a bit of fiddling around on the weekend (downloading the CVS, compiling from source) I managed to get the connector working just fine with a fresh install of Calendar 6.0 (2004/Q2) and Evolution 1.4 under Debian.
