What is the J2EE Management Server?

Dear all,

I was wondering if someone could explain that the J2EE Management Server is

compared with the J2EE SDK 1.3.1? Is the latter also the J2EE Ref Impl?

I understand that the J2EE Management Server comes with a netbeans

integration module. My ultimate aim is to integrate the RI/SDK with Forte

4/SunONE 4 Community Edition for development and deployment. Is this

possible as most of my searches have come up blank. I cannot even get the

RI/SDK to appear in the installed servers section of the runtime tab within

Forte...

Any help will be appreciated. I have posted to netbeans groups as well.

Hi Rajeev,

you need Enterprise Edition of Forte for Java (or Sun ONE Studio in

case you're going

for version 4) to integrate with J2EE RI. You can get 60 day trial @

http://wwws.sun.com/software/sundev/jde/buy/index.html.
