Options: Email me a notification whenever someone schedules an event on my

I have not tried this option since I upgraded months ago to CS 5.1.1 HF but it seems to not work. Any ideas? I can manually type an email address in when I add a new event to someones calendar and they recieve the email but the automatic notification from the users option setting doesn't work.

I don't know if I was clear on the above. So I'll try to explain further. If one schedules an event on another persons calendar, and on the other persons option under settings tab "Email me a notification whenever someone schedules an event on my calendar" is checked, no email notification is sent. However, if I type in the persons email address in the "Invite other users or resources:" when I schedule that event and email notification is generated. Additionaly, what is strange is that the Option under settings tab "Event & Task Reminders" - "Email me a reminder xx minutes before every event and task" sends an email notification. I would have thought they were controled by the same notification structure.
